The Canaima National Park:
Enacted National Park on June 12, 1962. Has an area of 3,000,000 hectares, one of the largest in the world. Place of breathtaking beauty, unique in the world, presented in its western region of the Guiana Shield impenetrable jungle, on the eastern side, large sheets full of flora and fauna, rivers crossed by stormy. Its skyline dominated by tepuyes tabular formations of vertical walls, consisting of multicolored sandstone, quartzite and agglomerates, carved by erosion thousands of years, and totally flat on top. The islands are like giant tepuis on the green carpet of the forest, they are actually "islands in time" because they are unique ecosystems, each has unique flora and fauna. There are more than 300 endemic species, such as: Achnopogon, Chimantaea, Quelchia, Tepuia, Mallophyton, Adenanthe; abundant carnivorous (insectivorous) of genres: Bromelia, Drosera, Heliamphora and Utricularia.

Access:
By land, following Route 10 south or by air from various secondary airports in Canaima, like and mostly Santa Elena de Uairén and airstrips in the remote Kavanayen Kamarata, Ounken and other Indian villages.

Canaima Lagoon:
Huge pool formed by the turbulent waters of river Carrao, at the foot of the falls, before restarting the race to the Caroni. The first thing that calls attention to the surf on this trend is the foam which borders the surface of the lagoon and the peculiar color of the water: black in the deepest areas, red - yellow on the banks. This unique coloring is due to the concentration of fulvic and humic acids and saponin foam, both derived from the decomposition of plant material. The tepuyes Kurun, Deer and Kuravaina are the backdrop for this superb aquatic amphitheater.
Salto El Sapo:
This waterfall shows its face more spectacular during the rainy season, when it increases significantly the flow of water. A green carpet of vegetation covering the slabs or tan, it is to moss-like plants or seagrasses, which are perfectly suited to the thrust of the strong currents. Halfway through the jump, the water flow increases, forming clouds of spray, the turbulence is so great that choppy breathing, energy and endless rushing water falls, at breakneck speed from a height of 20 meters. From this vantage point you can see a haunting landscape: in the foreground, rolling savannah grass cover, a thick morichal contrasting with the emerald green surrounding, indigenous huts and thatched roofs in the distance, the blue silhouette of Nonoi-Tepuy.
Angel Falls:
The highest waterfall in the world, fall 1005 m. from the top of Auyán-tepuy into the jungle. El Salto Angel shows an amazing perspective: the waterfall, which is actually the sum of several jets of water rush from multiple cracks, becomes a light mist riven by a rainbow. Behind the fountain, wall-tepui Auyán exhibits a great bowl of red tones, carved by water and wind. You can fly in light aircraft from Canaima and from Kavak. Called by the indigenous Pemon Kerepakupai-Meru, "jump deeper place," the current name was imposed in honor of the aviator Jimmy Angel, gold digger who in 1937 managed to land his plane on top of Auyan-Tepuy. Although credited with the discovery of the jump to Jimmy Angel, credit is due to Ernesto Sanchez, a retired officer of the Venezuelan Navy, who had already visited in 1910 according to the testimony of the trip Blohm deposited in the house of Cuidad Bolivar. The Auyán-Tepuy:
Auyán-tepuy, colossus of stone, carved by erosion thousands of years. Aponwao or Chinak-Meru:
Awesome free-fall with a height of 105 meters. The tour to this fall is made by river or across the river and then a walk pverland to the Aponwao.
Toron-meru Falls:
Waterfall as ladder, is one of the best attractions of the route Gran Sabana, has a height of 75 meters, is located 41 kilometers from the crossing Kavanayen. Difficult to access.
Salto Kama-Meru:
This mighty and spectacular diving, crystal clear water from the river Aponwao, has a height greater than 50 meters, the drop forms a rainbow. It is located at km 207.11 for the core-10, Route eastern Gran Sabana.
Quebrada Arapan-Meru (pacheco):
Attractive consisting of four jumps, a small jump with a pond and a medium, a big jump in the form of stairs and a slide. The stream is also called Perfetti. It is located at km 241.77 for the core-10.
Quebrada Kako-Paru (Jasper):
Quebrada which is characterized by slabs of red jasper, is 20 to 30 meters wide, is one of the wonders of the great plains. It is located at km 277.28 for the core-10. Ruta Gran Sabana, eastern sector.
Roraima
Tepuy:
It is the highest of the table mountains of the Gran Sabana, also called Blue Mountain or Crystal Mountain, has a height of 2763 meters, 15 kilometers long, the top surface is 200 kilometers, is the highlight of the relief the park. The Roraima
has the points: the bow, lake gladis, labyrinths of the north, three-point stone monkey eating ice cream, pit, valley of crystals and tevasin. Its correct name is Roroima, roroi means fruit tree and ma means big. In 1931, agreed to the setting of Mount Roraima

Kukenan-Tepuy:

Aponwao River:
The river rises in the Sierra de Lema and falls into the Caroni, has 250 kilometers long. The small boat sailing is a spectacular and unique tour, travel in the area of Salto Chinak is so devious, that on several occasions, the sun is to the left and right in others.
Rio Yuruani:
96 kilometers long, was born in the Saran-tepuy and Mount Yuruani (Irurima tepuy) and falls in the river Kukenan Yurua.
Kukenan Falls:
The Kukenan waterfall has a free fall height of 610 meters, is the second highest waterfall in Venezuela and the fourth in the world.
