Its tourism potential is linked to ecotourism, Agriculture and Archaeology. It is recommended to visit among other attractions: Petroglyphs at Punta Cedeño, the French and the Sun and the Moon Falls Chaviripa; and Spa El Castillero, Maniapure, Suapure and Sacuima. It is settled by the bauxite mines, diamonds and gold. They live in this municipality several indigenous groups. Wild plantations predominate tree and Moriche Corob.
Its capital Caicos ORINOCO, founded in the mid eighteenth century, it is important river port on the banks of the Orinoco River, cattle and commercial center of much importance in the region.
Petroglyphs: drawings on stone made by the aborigines, calculated its age at the beginning of the year 600 BC, because of certain similarities between this area and some elements of the call Saladoid series. Some of the petroglyphs are: French, sun and moon, the donkey with skates.
